“As an artist, metaphorically my mind is in a constant state of fusion, I keep my eyes wide open to every inch of my surroundings. Each idea, experience, emotion, combining and circulating with possibility. Perceiving the natural world through a mental process of deconstruction to navigate the colours, shapes and organic movement until something new and exciting is born. Here, a piece inspired by a recent simple yet beautiful afternoon walking the bush track near home with my children, a path I’ve taken so many times and know so well. Extracting the essence of the landscape to elevate and evolve a fleeting moment into an abstract interpretation; a fusion.”
